Youth Development Internship Spring 2020 - March 5, 2020

Imagine Englewood If (IEi) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to strengthening and empowering the Greater Englewood community through teaching local youth and their families healthy living, environmental awareness, and positive interaction. IEi offers year-round enrichment programs for youth ages 6-12 that includes: tutoring and academic growth in Imagination Explorers: After-School program; fun and relationship building at Kids on the Move Summer Day Camp; and exposing girls to the self-discovering power of reading for leisure at Progressionista Book Club.

The focus of the youth development internship is to assist with curriculum development of trauma-informed activities for youth ages 6-12 years old. This is an opportunity for a student focused on Education, Social Work, or Psychology to gain experience while also helping to enhance quality youth programming offered on the South Side of Chicago. This is a 10 week unpaid internship that can be used to earn credits to satisfy an academic internship, dependent upon the institution’s approval.
