Facilitators Needed for Support Groups

If you or someone you love has a mood disorder, DBSA-GC is looking for facilitators to begin training to serve new areas. Facilitators currently moderate and manage their support groups across the city in six locations.

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Greater Chicago is a 501(c)3 self-help organization founded to offer support to those with mood disorders and their families, professionals & friends. By counteracting the isolation that is associated with these illnesses, DBSA-GC believes that sharing these experiences confidentially with others in similar situations can help in the recovery process. By helping to restore self-esteem and encouraging members to seek the right medical advice, you can be a good neighbor help enable members to enjoy a fulfilling life.

Contact them to find how to get started. Training is available online or in person depending on each person's schedule. Volunteer today! Email wecanhelp@dbsa-gc.org for more information.
