Remembering Ryan Harris

The 16th Annual Family Memorial Picnic for Ryan Harris took place on Monday at the Ryan Harris Memorial Park in Englewood.

The picnic attracted supporters, Englewood residents and elected officials who celebrated the memory of Ryan Harris.  Harris's life was taken away from her in 1998 at the age of 11 years old.  As a family tradition Harris's relatives wore her favorite color purple and custom designed shirts with her picture on them.


The Peace Center, The Englewood Political Task Force and The Harris family hosted the annual picnic also known as the Englewood Pride Day.
The memorial was held from 10am-4pm, attendees enjoyed music and food followed by a balloon release at 2:30pm and press conference.
