Hot Off the Presses!! - Englewood Youth Times 2nd Edition

We are pleased to announced that Cycle 2 of Media-N-Motion wrapped up with another great publication, the 2nd Edition of "Englewood Youth Times". This program was started by three dedicated Englewood residents, Asiaha Butler, Tonika Johnson and Tesha Dickerson. The youth journalists who participated in this program learned interviewing techniques, gained media literacy skills and went on field experiences during the Raw Voice event at Columbia College and toured WBEZ studios at Navy Pier!

Check out Englewood Youth Times for more details about these experiences!

During their special presentation, participants and their families viewed a short video produced by Taryn Randle, a journalism student from Loyola University Chicago, which captured the essence of our program. See video below....

All attendees received a printed version of the Englewood Youth Times-2nd Edition, the official publication of Media-N-Motion.  We would like to extend a special thanks to the sponsors of this cycle, Columbia College, Center for Community Arts Partnerships (CCAP), Resident Association of Greater Englewood, (RAGE) and all the special guest that presented for these bright students.

The third cycle is scheduled to be take place in the fall so if you are interesting in more information about this program please contact Asiaha Butler at 773-744-8849 or Tesha Dickerson at 773-459-3570.

We need to continue to shed light on the positive stories in Englewood and Media-N-Motion is definitely an example of the GREATNESS that happens in Englewood!
