Citywide Pastry Chef Contest for Kids & Winner Receives Free Tuition to FPS ($24,000 Value)

Applicants can apply for the competition that will grant them an opportunity to work with the best in the business--French Pastry School’s Master chefs--and to gain unparalleled culinary exposure until March 31st. To be considered, high school students ages 14-19 residing in the City of Chicago must submit their best cupcake recipe and an essay in 100 words or less on “What Inspires You to Bake.”

Twelve finalists will be selected this spring to advance to a live citywide baking competition this May. The winner of the Mayor’s Cup trophy will receive a full scholarship to the French Pastry School, one of the top pastry schools in the world.

The French Pastry School was founded by world-renowned pastry chefs Sebastien Cannone and Jacquy Pfieffer, and is housed at Kennedy-King College—the designated City College for the culinary arts. For more information, please see www.frenchpastryschool.com and/or contact mayorscup@frenchpastryschool.com.
