Wash & Wear Community Mask Giveaway – June 25th!

The Resident Association of Greater Englewood is excited to partner with Medline, BCBSIL, Kennedy King College and our local Alderwomen of the 16th and 20th Ward to distribute over 4000 free reusable washable masks.

Jobs on the Block is Back! Outdoor Employment Fair by R.A.G.E Returns – August 21st

With the support of the Safe and Peaceful Chicago initiative, our association is proud to host for the 3rd year, the outdoor employment fair here in Englewood, Jobs on the Block, Wednesday, August 21st. Several employers and community resources will come to the 700 West Block of 66th Place (right off Halsted) for the outdoor hiring event from 10am - 2pm.

The Englewood Public Safety Taskforce announced today a new $953,000 grant it received from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA)The DOJ’s Community Based Crime Reduction (CBCR) initiative provides resources to convene diverse local partners, including police, sheriffs, prosecutors, researchers, municipal agencies, service providers, community developers and residents.

So Fresh Saturdays’ 5th stop at Ogden Park this weekend – August 4th!

We are excited to head to Ogden Park on August 4th from 3pm-7pm for our fifth stop of the So Fresh So Fresh Saturday Tour. Our fourth stop on July 21st at Murray Park was nothing short of amazing! We provided hundreds of Englewood residents with access to community resources, music, free food plus an organic food cooking demonstration by youth from the Gardeneers, and performances by talented local artists like hip-hop mentoring group, Emcee Skool, young neo-soul singer SaKyrah, poetic rapper Chi Boy Jimmy, with the popular artist/activist Phenom as Master of Cermony! 

Wear Orange and Join RAGE for the Kick Off of So Fresh Saturdays at Sherwood Park - June 2nd!

The season for “So Fresh Saturdays” is here and R.A.G.E. is excited to announce that our 2018 summer park tour will launch on Saturday, June 2nd at Sherwood Park located 5701 S. Shields from 2pm-6pm.  For six years, R.A.G.E. has hosted “So Fresh Saturdays” as part of  Chicago’s larger Nights Out in the Parks effort. 

Time to Get FRESH Englewood – Apply for the Healthy Food Access Grant!

Whole Cities Foundation and the Resident Association of Greater Englewood (R.A.G.E.) have partnered for a third year to increase healthy food access.  Nonprofit organizations serving Greater Englewood can now apply for a $2,000-$8,000 grant for projects that grow the local food system!

Celebrate Black History Month in Englewood

Celebrate Black History Month by indulging in hand-crafted African artifacts, accessories, clothing and more! The Resident Association of Greater Englewood, also known as R.A.G.E., will be hosting an African Pop-up Shop Fundraiser on February 14th and February 15th at Hamilton Park Cultural Center from 12pm-5pm.

RAGE Partners with Donda's House to Host Open Mic at So Fresh Saturdays!

R.A.G.E. is excited to partner with Donda's House Inc. to host an open mic that will allow young local talents ages 15-24 from Englewood to earn a spot to perform at the AAHH Festival hosted by the Common Ground Foundation!
