Youth advocate receives Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award

On the 87th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and St. Bernard Hospital held its 19th annual celebration honoring the life and legacy of the civil rights champion. This year’s honoree, Michael Tidmore, is a restorative justice advocate in Englewood, who has become an example to at-risk youth that they can turn their lives around.

St. Bernard Hospital Opens Walk-in Clinic

St. Bernard Hospital opened The Walk-in Clinic last week. The Clinic, located in the Hospital at 326 West 64th Street in Chicago, offers patients non-emergent medical care on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

St. Bernard launches blood drive in Englewood

St. Bernard Hospital will host its annual blood drive Friday July 19, 2013 from 11a.m. to 5p.m. at the hospital located at 326 West 64th Street in Chicago. The blood drive seeks to tackle a significant lack of donors from the South Side neighborhoods served by the hospital, as well as the citywide need for blood donations.

Charles A. Holland, Jr., Named as President/CEO of St. Bernard Hospital

Chicago, IL (August, 2012) – Charles A. Holland, Jr., vice president for Planning and Development at St. Bernard Hospital and executive director of the hospital’s non-profit Housing Development Corporation, has been named president and chief executive officer.
