Englewood Police Youth Baseball League is Recruiting!!!!!!

Englewood Police Youth Basbeball League is now recruiting for the 2016 Summer season. The mission of Englewood Police Youth Baseball League is to strengthen relationships between the Englwood community and Chicago Police Department through baseball. Chicago Police Offiers act as coaches and mentors. Games and practices take place at both Ogden Park and Hamilton Park. There are NO FEES associated with Englewood Police Youth Baseball League. The season starts on May 3rd and we are seeking boys and girls that reside in the Englewood area ages 9-12. Please register at www.epybleague.com

Youth advocate receives Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award

On the 87th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and St. Bernard Hospital held its 19th annual celebration honoring the life and legacy of the civil rights champion. This year’s honoree, Michael Tidmore, is a restorative justice advocate in Englewood, who has become an example to at-risk youth that they can turn their lives around.
