The Power of choice for Women and Girls


The Mary McLeod Bethune Women’s Center at Kennedy-King College is presenting “The Power of Choice” conference in collaboration with Demoiselle 2 Femme, Englewood Women’s Initiative and Teamwork Englewood’s Quality of Life Plan (QLP). 

The conference features workshops, health tests, and an intergenerational conversation between girls and women in recognition of Women’s History Month.  

The topics will cover The Power to Choose a Healthy Life, The Power to Activate the Power Within, and The Power to Choose Your Future. Speakers and facilitators include: Chicago Foundation for Women, Howard Brown Medical Center, Women Business Development Center, Chicago Women in Trades, The Foundation for Good Health, Family Rescue, Demoiselle 2 Femme, Industrial Council of Nearwest Chicago.

Team Englewood High School students are developing social media campaigns to promote the event and to push key messages to their peers.
