I am straight edge avidly and I am very serious about my vow
I am straightedge because I simply don't find a need for alcohol. I really don't just find it necessary but being straightedge gives me something easy to say when someone offers me a smoke, drink, or pipe. DARE tells you to say 'No', so being rebellious and the teenager says: yes it doesn't make any sense.
I don't think others should have to be SXE, it's a personal commitment and style that you need to make for yourself and no one can pressure you into. If I were to advise someone to be straightedge, it would be because it's a decision for a healthy lifestyle.
Personally im fine just the way I am. No drinking, no smoking, and not doing drugs I am and always will be a Drug free and clean person. No one tells me what to do I listen to only 2 people my mother and my father they are the ones that led my life to what it is today and im glad that they are the ones that kept me from doing things that other teens are doing.
