The mission of Greater Saint John African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME), is to spread Christ's liberating gospel into the hearts, souls, and minds of its membership, empowering members to grow spiritually and economically that they might be effective change agents for God in the community.

Reverend K. Andre Brooks is the senior pastor of Greater Saint John African Methodist Episcopal Church in Chicago, Illinois

In November 2014, Bishop John Richard Bryant, appointed Rev. Brooks as the senior pastor of Greater Saint John AME Church in the Englewood community of Chicago, Illinois.  Rev. Brooks has sparked a Church revival and city-wide campaign focused on decreasing the high crime rate in the crime rampant neighborhood by meeting with elected officials, gang leaders, police, city agency officials, and business owners to address the major issues of work-force development and economic revitalization.

Reverend Kevin Andre Brooks, a highly passionate and successful minister, educator, and community activist, is sought after for his ability to inspire individuals, organizations, and communities towards action. A public servant and transformational leader, Rev. Brooks has been involved in public service for twenty years as a U.S. soldier, congressional legislative assistant, teacher, public administrator, school principal and entrepreneur. He has received numerous awards for his work on community development as an organizer and political activist in Baltimore neighborhooods.
