The Gang Prevention program aims to target high-risk youth who are not yet gang members. This program provides educational and other alternatives to joining a gang, increase academic success, the avoidance of teen violence and increased self-esteem. UFC partners with school personnel and local community service providers to assist in the maintenance of a calm, safe and nurturing enviornment for youth.

Program eligibility: Youth Ages 8-18 whom reside in Englewood/West Englewood.

Services provided: Counseling Individual/Group, case management, advocacy, supervised field trips, community workshops.

Goals: Academic improvement, life skills improvement, improving peer-to-peer interaction, proactively deterring youth from criminal activity.

Community Partnerships: Paul Robeson High School, Parker Community Academy, Yancey Boys and Girls Club and Imagine Englewood If.
