Barbara A. Sizemore Academy is a charter school located at 6936 S. Hermitage Ave. in West Englewood. Sizemore Academy serves youth from Kindergarten age through 8th grade. Our mission is to provide every student with a safe and nurturing learning environment, and an academically rigorous and culturally relevant educational program that graduates students who excel in reading, oral and written language, mathematics, science, technology, social studies, and the arts and humanities. Our school lunch features fresh fruits and vegetables as its base with additional servings of fruits and vegetables twice a week for afternoon snack. Our afterschool activities include African Dance and Drumming, Tennis, Basketball, Competitive Cheerleading, Computer Technology, Homework Assistance and other seasonal activities.
