Totally Positive Productions (TPP) is a not-for-profit organization that has taken a unique approach to the problems facing young people in economical-disadvantaged communities in the Chicago area. These youth are faced with the constant specter of violence, drugs, crimes, gangs, and negative images.
To reach the youth of its target area, Totally Positive Productions has taken a practical approach to speak the language of young people. TPP utilizes the Community Works Crime Prevention Program to help educate the youth on crime prevention strategies and techniques. TPP utilizes the positive hip-hop movement concepts to minimize youth involvement in drugs, violence, crime and gang related activities as a positive alternative youths are familiar with to promote their understanding of crimes and address social issues and changes in their environment.
