Prom Party With a Purpose - Donations Needed

See bigger map

The 007th District Domestic Violence Subcommittee is asking for support of the annual Prom Party With a Purpose, an event supporting local youth by providing prom attire and accessories while educating them on safety and healthy decision making.  This event will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 11 am - 3 pm at Chicago Embassy Church located at 5848 S. Princeton.

We need donations of prom attire (formal dresses, tuxedos, and suits), shoes, and accessories to distribute to students.  This allows each young person the opportunity to feel and act their best on prom night - a defining experience for most teens.  Of course, the promise of free prom attire and accessories draws in teens who will then receive education on drinking, drug use, and teen dating violence that they might not otherwise receive.

We need your help to make this event a success!  Your donation will provide much needed resources and allow us to continue to support the youth in our community.  Your donations can be dropped of at the 007th District Police Station located at 1438 West 63rd Street.  Contact Officer Goree at 312.747.6722 or daliah.goree@chicagopolice.org
