Did you know Englewood has a farm ? Come see how we’re growing job skills and quality foods for those who need them most.

*Garden Workshop for Children: Composting

Have fun with dirt and worms, as kids learn the basics of composting.

*Garden Workshop : Seed Saving 

Learn how to take seeds from your favorite fruits and vegetables, so that you can plant and grow them next year.

*Healthy Cooking Demonstrations/ Tastings

Chef Josephine McEntee of Emma’s Kitchen will teach us some Hip and Healthy Back to School meals and snacks.

Chef James Medley will teach us how to properly cook our veggies and new ways to make them melt in your mouth !

* Community Forum and Volunteer Fair, Let’s Get Organized : A Call to Action

Meet and network with other residents, leaders and organizations who are organizing Englewood for peace. Learn about the many ways people are improving conditions in Englewood, and how your help is needed too. It takes a village to raise a child, and our village is broken. Come see how we are working together to fix it. Attendees receive a free gift.

*Wellness Workshop: Canning 101

Our gardening and wellness expert Breanne Heath will teach you, step by step, the proper way to preserve your foods at home. Learn how to eat healthy and save on grocery bills all year long.

*Wellness Workshop: Natural Hair Care and Autumn Beauty

Learn the basics of natural hair care techniques and products. We’ll even teach you some new beauty recipes and tips that are perfect for this coming season.

*Nutrition Workshop : Hip and Healthy Back to School Eating

Attendees receive a coupon for free organic produce.
