Big Shoulders Fund has a 30-year history of supporting schools through four key areas: scholarship and student achievement, leadership development, academic programming, and operational improvements. Through our existing scholarship program, we are the largest private k-12 scholarship program in Illinois.
In 2017, Big Shoulders Fund was approved by the state of Illinois as a Scholarship Granting Organization for the new Illinois Tax Credit Scholarship Program, made possible by the Illinois Invest in Kids Act.
