Pullman Peace Park Build Day + Community Event

The Chicago White Sox and Chicago Park District, along with construction company F.H. Paschen, Chicago C.R.E.D. (Create Real Economic Destiny), an organization dedicated to providing opportunities to people in neighborhoods with high rates of gun violence, and KABOOM!, the national nonprofit that creates spaces for kids to play, are coming together to build a new 'Peace Park' and children's playground in the Pullman neighborhood on Chicago's South Side. The park building day will also include a block party-style community celebration, complete with a job fair, voter registration booths, a booth to sign-up for free kids health care, backpack/school supplies for all the kids, music, food and much more. The park is the latest symbol of community prosperity in the historic Pullman neighborhood and the community is welcome to join in the festivities! Materials for the park are donated by F.H. Paschen.
