R.A.G.E.'s annual summer park peace festival tour returns next week, Saturday, June 2nd at Sherwood park located 5701 S. Shields from 2pm-6pm!  Each year R.A.G.E. reclaims local parks in Greater Englewood in the name of peace to offer residents a free, family-oriented, “edutainment” festival where they can enjoy games, performances by local artists, food, raffles, and relevant resources throughout the summer. On June 2nd, people will enjoy positive entertainment from over 10 local musicians and artists plus offer a community resource fair that brings together nearly 20 organizations and schools that have programming and opportunities for resident. Remmeber, children of all ages can take part in a variety of games, arts and crafts, as well as a bounce house. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in a raffle and receive free food.  We will also wear the color orange to honor all victims of gun violence and survivor families in our city, state and nation in solidarity with the Moms Demand Action and Everytown Survivor Network.   The full schedule is as follows:

  • June 2    – Sherwood Park – 5701 S. Shields –  2pm-6pm
  • June 16  – Moran Park- 5727 S. Racine Ave – 2pm-6pm
  • June 30 –  Hermitage Park – 5839 S. Wood St – 3pm- 7pm
  • July 21   – Murray Park – 1743 W. 73rd St. – 3pm-7pm
  • Aug. 4    – Ogden Park – 6500 S. Racine – 3pm-7pm
  • Aug. 25  – Hamilton Park – 513 W. 72nd – 3pm- 7pm
  • Sept. 22 –  Lindblom Park – 6054 S Damen Ave – 2pm-6pm
