In the spirit of interconnectivity and civic duty, join My Block, My Hood, My City and Chicago Cares for the 'One Block at A Time' Initiative this August. In partnership with Chicago Cares, My Block, My Hood, My City is looking for volunteers to support our neighbors in the Woodlawn community through various beautification service projects. Volunteers will engage in a morning of service, starting at the Jackson Park Fieldhouse for check-in and and kickoff. Volunteers will disperse and serve at various sites throughout the community including community gardens, park and lot clean up sites and a mosaic project with Green Star Movement. All projects will be in walking distance from the Jackson Park Fieldhouse.

Date: Saturday, August 19 from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Location: 22 blocks of Woodlawn from 61st to 67th, Stony Island to Dorchester
