Englewood Exclusively Us Senior’s Day Celebration in May,
Older Americans Month
Day-long Event to Feature Free Health Resources, Screenings and Entertainment
CHICAGO (April 19, 2017) - Today, 60 is the new 40 as Americans are living longer and with a higher quality of life. During May, Older Americans Month, all across our country organizations, government, businesses, churches and community groups will be highlighting the many contributions of seniors and celebrating their vibrant lifestyles. Seniors have a strong voice in their communities. Aside from living longer, they are starting new careers, taking charge, striving for independence, speaking up for themselves and focusing on wellness.
The Englewood Exclusively Us Senior’s Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and will recognize seniors and their families in the Englewood Community. The celebration will include a health fair, free merchandise, games, prizes, health screenings, complimentary meals, free transportation to/from senior buildings; and information about health, fitness, nutrition and local entertainment.
