For 50 plus years the Englewood Back To School Parade has been creating peace, fun and memorable experiences in Englewood. Nothing can compare to this historical event that will return August 27, 2016.

On Saturday August 27, the Englewood community will celebrate the 54^th anniversary of the Englewood Back To School Parade. Each year the parade continues to set the bar for a family fun peaceful celebration in the community. The Englewood Back To School Parade continues to be a part of Chicago’s rich history as well as Englewood’s rich cultural history.

The parade is not just an ordinary gathering, it is a grandiose celebration of the community, leaders and supporters of Greater Englewood. The parade continues to be more robust and widely celebrated as participation grows each year with over 4,000 attendees flocking to the South Side of Chicago, including local celebrities and dignitaries.

The parade schedule:

8:30 a.m. -10:00 a.m. (Day of Registration).
10:30 a.m. Parade precession 56^thHalsted (south on Halsted) then west 67^thto Throop.
11:30 p.m. -2:00 p.m. Parade finale and celebration at Ogden Park 6500 S. Racine.
