Learn a Language Series: Java Part 2

This tutorial provides a deeper look at the structure of a Java program, including object-oriented design and and syntax.  Students will continue their work in a graphical development environment to understand, modify and enhance a program that searches through business data.  Participants will also discuss methods of program development and how to leverage the capabilities of preexisting java libraries.

NOTE: Tech needs –
Students should arrive with Java (Java SE Development Kit from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html and Eclipse https://eclipse.org/downloads a free Java developer environment – on your machine. Having problems installing.  Download and save the files for your operating system from both of the above links before arriving, and we will try to walk through the installation with you. Laptops will also be available for those who had difficulty downloading the IDE.
